AxiMotion XMC-E V3
Aximotion also known as XMC- V3 is designed to provide a seamless means of integrating CAD/CAM. It comprises a family of comprehensive menu driven interface modules based on MS-Windows operating systems. AxiMotion takes full advantage of multi-threading capabilities of windows to provide an easy means of Cutter Path Generation and Machine Control within one integrated environment. It allows you to simply load the CAD file and view it as is; perform a wide range of operations on the job there and then without resorting to CAD; graphically review the modified job; queue multiple jobs and have full control on pausing and restarting jobs.
Key Features:
- Path Generation
- Complete graphical view of job
- Read/Write various vector formats
- Sorting and Nesting
- Tool Type Selection, Offset
- Area Fill, Step and Repeat
- Cutter compensation and knife drag
- Drill hole, Open and Closed Paths
- Holding Tabs
- User configurable colour coded views
- Inlay and profile extrusion
Machine Control:
- 2D, 2_D, 3D Control
- Manual and Auto Toolset
- Auto Tool Change
- Job Positioning, Scaling, Rotating
- Job Queuing, On - line speed control
- Multi-Layer & Multi/Auto Tool Change
- Multi – Pass Cutting
- Fault logging and remote support
- Cutter path simulation
- In flight speed change
Recent New Features:
Interactive Graphics
Computers with suitable graphics hardware will use Direct X for drawing the jobs on screen. The mouse is used to give the user much more control of zooming and panning of the job.
Manually Moving Contours
It is now possible to disable contours, paths can now also be copied (duplicated) and paths can now be deleted from the job.
Display Cutter Order
A new feature has been added that displays the Cutting Order of Paths in a job. This will give an indication of the slew paths the machine will follow.
File Open Extra Features
The ability to append another job from disc onto the one on screen, applying an X-Y move if desired. This allows several jobs to be cut as one, which will optimise tool changes if the jobs require several tools.
Slowdown at End of Contour
When cutting small parts, there is a chance that the part will move slightly just as the contour is completed. The machine can now be set to automatically slow down at the end of each contour.
Cutting Time Estimation
The software follows the cutter paths, tallying both cut and slew lengths, and the time taken. The dialog will then display the approximate job time, and the number of tool changes, as well as the cut and slew lengths.
Lead In/Out Vectors
This feature allows the cutter to enter from the side of the material rather than plunging into the surface.
Sequencing of Cut Contours
It is now possible to select the order in which contours will be cut. This is done using new buttons on the toolbar which allow the cut order to be displayed and modified.
